Jessica Ennis-Hill, CBE (born 28 January 1986), née Ennis, is a British former track and field athlete and world and Olympic champion in heptathlon.

Career[]

After winning the Olympic title at London 2012, her hopes of becoming the holder of both Olympic and World titles were thwarted by injury and this kept her out of the 2013 World Championships. After giving birth to her son Reggie in 2014 she returned at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing and took her second World title. She retired from athletics in October 2016, shortly after losing the Olympic heptathlon title to Nafissatou Thiam.

Medal re-allocation[]

In 2016, she was awarded the 2011 World Championships gold medal after drugs cheat Tatyana Chernova was disqualified, and was presented with the medal during the 2017 World Championships in London.
